X-rays ;are a type of radiation called electromagnetic waves. X-ray imaging creates pictures of the inside of your body. The images show the parts of your body in different shades of black and white. This is because different tissues absorb different amounts of radiation. Calcium in bones absorbs x-rays the most, so bones look white. Fat and other soft tissues absorb less and look gray. Air absorbs the least, so the lungs look black.
The most familiar use of x-rays is checking for fractures (broken bones), but x-rays are also used in other ways. For example, chest x-rays can spot pneumonia. Mammograms use x-rays to look for breast cancer.
When you have an x-ray, you may wear a lead apron to protect certain parts of your body. The amount of radiation you get from an x-ray is small. For example, a chest x-ray gives out a radiation dose similar to the amount of radiation you're naturally exposed to from the environment over 10 days.
Metal detectors
Metal Detecting Machines are based on the science of electromagnetism. ;
Different metal ;detecting machines work in various different ways, but here's the science behind one of the simpler kinds. A metal detector contains a coil of wire (wrapped around the circular head at the end of the handle) known as the transmitter coil. When electricity flows through the coil, a magnetic field is created all around it. As you sweep the detector over the ground, you make the magnetic field move around too. If you move the detector over a metal object, the moving magnetic field affects the atoms inside the metal. In fact, it changes the way the electrons (tiny particles "orbiting" around those atoms) move. Now if we have a changing magnetic field in the metal, the ghost of James Clerk Maxwell tells us we must also have an electric current moving in there too. In other words, the metal detector creates (or "induces") some electrical activity in the metal. But then Maxwell tells us something else interesting too: if we have electricity moving in a piece of metal, it must create some magnetism as well. So, when you move a metal detector over a piece of metal, the magnetic field coming from the detector causes another magnetic field to appear around the metal.
It's this second magnetic field, around the metal, that the detector picks up. The metal detector has a second coil of wire in its head (known as the receiver coil) that's connected to a circuit containing a loudspeaker. As you move the detector about over the piece of metal, the magnetic field produced by the metal cuts through the coil. Now if you move a piece of metal through a magnetic field, you make electricity flow through it (remember, that's how a generator works). So, as you move the detector over the metal, electricity flows through the receiver coil, making the loudspeaker click or beep. Hey presto, the metal detector is triggered and you've found something! The closer you move the transmitter coil to the piece of metal, the stronger the magnetic field the transmitter coil creates in it, the stronger the magnetic field the metal creates in the receiver coil, the more current that flows in the loudspeaker, and the louder the noise.
Metal or needle detection: A must in the apparel and garment industry
Specifically designed zippers meant to go undetected by metal detectors are a must to speed up the processing of finished garments.
In the garment and apparel industry, metal needle detectors are utilized to detect needles that may have been accidentally lodged in finished garments. It is also necessary to ensure that garments and apparel meant to be sold or exported are devoid of all sorts of metal contaminants. Exporting garments embedded with needles or other unwanted metal articles could result in legal actions against the manufacturing company along with bad publicity and heavy financial losses. Thus, garment companies prefer to invest in metal detecting devices that thoroughly scan garments for needle or metal contamination.
Needle detection is also an integral part of the garment manufacturing companies that produce apparel for babies or kids.
Security Inspection Machine
Despite the rapid socio-economic development today, in a peaceful environment, the internal security environment is often affected by terrorists and other insecurity factors, putting us in a dangerous environment. Therefore, in this case, a large investment in a ;security inspection machine ;is very important. Through the use of security inspection devices, security can be better carried out, and the safety of public places can also be improved. ;
What is security equipment?
A security inspection machine is to check the safety of related articles in certain specific places. The equipment can help security personnel to do some safety hazard investigations and related management work. With the social and economic development, more and more security inspection devices. They can be divided into large, medium, and small equipment according to their size and application area. Among them, large-scale security inspection device is mainly used for goods inspection, such as customs, airports, railway containers, vehicle inspection, and so on. At present, medium-sized equipment is mainly used for large-scale activities, and the important safety objectives are the inspection of entrances and exits, personnel, and personal belongings; small equipment is mainly used for temporary security inspection. Tao features handheld devices that are easy to move and carry. From the category of detectable items, the commonly used equipment includes X-ray security inspection machines, metal detection doors, hand-held metal detectors, liquid detectors, automobile chassis video detection systems, etc.
Weighing Detector
The weighing detector is another term for a Load cell or force sensor. Like many sensors, weight sensors are available in many different forms or types. Each type of weight sensor has features that make them well suited to different applications.
Weighing detectors are a device used to measure force and load. They convert weight into an electrical signal which can be processed and used within various applications. To measure force and weight, most weight sensors used internal strain gauges to measure the weight.
Weight Sensor Types
There are various types of weight sensors available. Our selection includes:
Single Point - Single point weight sensors or load cells are the most common type of load cell. This type of weight sensor can measure off-center loads which are useful for various types of scales. They are often used in low-capacity compact weighing systems.
S-Type - S Type weight sensors are shaped like the letter “s” hence the name. They are commonly used in both tension and compression applications offering high endurance and compact designs. S-Type weight sensors are suitable for applications in hoppers and truck scales, tank level scales, mechanical to electrical scales conversions, and level, and inventory monitoring.
Shear Beam and Bending Beam - Bending beam weight sensors often offer low profile construction and making them well suited to applications in restricted areas as well as OEM applications and multiple cell applications. They are very cost-efficient and some models are corrosion resistant and well suited to harsh environments.
Miniature - Miniature weight sensors are small sensors, some as small as 1cm for applications where space can be extremely tight. They are still rugged and reliable and can be used in various industrial weighing applications.
Tension and Compression - Most weight sensors come into the category of Tension and Compression. This is a very broad term to encompass weight sensors. Tension and compression weight sensors are used for all types of applications that involve measuring weight and force. ; ;
How to Use Hand Held Metal Detectors for People Scanning
Metal detectors use electromagnetic fields to actively detect the presence of metallic objects. A handheld metal detector ;wand has two primary components, a transmitter coil that creates the electromagnetic field and a receiver coil that detects electromagnetism. An electromagnetic field is generated around the transmitter coil which extends to around 20cm from the security wand. When the wand is passed over a subject's body if a metal object falls into the generated electromagnetic field a further electromagnetic field is induced around the hidden metal object. This new electromagnetic field is detected by the receiver coil which will trigger an alert for the operator.
High-quality handheld security metal detectors offer various alarm indicators including visual LEDs, selectable audible alarms, and vibration. The best handheld metal detectors are self-calibrating, eliminating the need for regular sensitivity adjustment. They are light-weight, ergonomically designed and a standard 9v battery will provide around 80 hours of continuous operation.

In these high-tech times, lovers no longer write letters, instant banking has replaced money orders, grandparents rely on courier companies whose boys zip on sleek mobikes to deliver parcels of love and almost nobody has a pen pal when social networking sites work just as well or even better, for that matter.Everyone knows for sure that in the new digital show, kids can’t receive the warmth and intimacy that has gone along with the figure of the traditional postman. People are gradually forgetting the art of letter writing — in another decade, there will not be any letters on display penned by the celebrities of today.In a village, the postman enjoyed a unique status unrivalled by his urban colleagues. I remember the times when his sight would flood my mind with the excitement of the possibility of getting the news I had been long awaiting. His social perimeter straggled the constellation of villages he covered in his official errands, which could be anywhere between four-five villages depending on the size of each village.In an Indian village, a postman was much more than just a letter deliverer.5 lakh postmen are now offering financial services in the country’s loneliest villages. And, when he delivered the money orders, he would get some monetary tips. For me, the postman was more than just a benign messenger who delivered a trove of daily mail . I always felt a strange kinship with him.
The postman remains a hero for those of my generation .The new boys are savvy, attired in modern executive apparel, zipping on mobikes in a professional business-like manner. But despite all these add-ons the new boys can’t be a substitute for the romantic postman. He would read aloud the letters to them and would also write out replies on their behalf. I remember how eagerly our landlady listened for his knock — how tremulously she asked for whom the letters were directed — and the painfully repressed sigh and darkened countenance with which she turned away when there was none for her.All that has changed.K. The new boys are savvy, attired in modern executive apparel, zipping on mobikes in a professional business-like manner. He had access to even the most intimate and private affairs of families.THE ASIAN AGE. Narayan immortalised the tiny post office in Malgudi, where Thanappa, the local postman, delivers letters on his bicycle, pedalling across the town. Gone too is the time he was a window to the world, a tenuous link with loved ones, and was almost a family member. The postman now visits houses to drop the official statements of the bank or the insurance company or the telephone or electricity bills or printed pamphlets for promotion of products.“Daak laayakhushi ka payaam kaheen dardanaak laayadaakiya daak laaya…”— From the film Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein (1977)The Rajesh Khanna-Hema Malini starrer film was a flop in the Box Office, but the song, penned by Gulzar and sung by Kishore Kumar remains a strong favourite for that generation. He was the heart of the local social planet who commiserated with people and shared their common concerns. In case the entire household was unlettered, he was the only channel of communication for it with their cousins. The image will keep revisiting us. In return the people also loved him and lavished benedictions and eulogies on him. The postman became my lens for gazing the rural horizon.H. The villagers themselves are quaint heroes and most bewildering windows with which to view their world.

The drop in GST on EVs to five per cent from 12 per cent plus the tax break might go some way towards incentivising what is an ideal transition from the internal combustion engine to other forms of driving mobility. The sum total of all the initiatives towards switching to electric mobility solutions amount to less than one per cent of vehicles on Indian roads now. While the absolute transition cut-off date of 2030 sounds ambitious even for such a highly evolved industry as the Indian automobile industry, the deadline sought for the less powered three- and two-wheelers appears far too sharp. The country has a long way to go in setting up a nationwide recharging infrastructure, which will make electric mobility practical even as technology develops more compact batteries as well as quicker China Wholesale electric mountain bike charging.The tax incentive proposals for EVs contained in the Budget were not that substantive as to see customers queue up. Electric vehicles (EVs) are clearly gaining traction, but not at a rate that could possibly meet the overambitious conversion target set by Niti Aayog, which said most recently that 2023 and 2025 should be the cut-off dates for three-wheelers and two-wheelers under 150 cc to go electric. India’s first ethanol-powered motorcycle was unveiled last week, so too an electric car by an international manufacturer based in India while a new electric scooter also hit the marketThe hurdles may appear overwhelming currently because we have hardly started towards true enabling of pollution-free transportation.
A total transition in India would take an enormous effort. Proper government-industry coordination and cooperation is essential if the transition is to have some effect on the urban heat island phenomenon that is running out of control in some cities, most notably in the National Capital Region where the problem of pollution is caused by far more than just automobiles. The proposed dates will be thrown open for discussion; even so, it is clear that automobiles are being targeted as major urban polluters. While the operating cost savings for the user of EVs will be a distinct selling point, the salutary effect on urban pollution would be the most desirable outcome provided, of course, that cities are able to do a lot more to tackle other major contributing factors like industrial pollution and thermal power generation. So too the premise that India’s world class two-wheelers, which also contain a $3 billion export component, are not the most major polluters. The country has a long way to go in setting up a nationwide recharging infrastructure, which will make electric mobility practical even as technology develops more compact batteries as well as quicker charging.The industry viewpoint of electric powered vehicles being brought in more by traders now rather than manufacturers would have to be factored in by the national planning body. end-of Tags: electric vehicles, gst. The sharper deadline for the industry could prove counterproductive as India grapples with the larger issue of total transition possibly by 2030. A lot more is needed to make it all happen in a decade. Pilot initiatives look impressive enough in handling the minuscule numbers thus far.
